This month, I embarked on the 100 Day Project, conceived by Elle Luna, on Instagram. The idea is to pick a theme and post for 100 days on social media. My theme is similar to what I've been doing for awhile now, but I call it #100DaysofBrooklyn . So if you type that in to Search, all my pieces will be in one place. This little house is my first post.
The idea is to use the exercise to create a habit of , well, creating! And sharing with the world. I'm still learning and evolving with my daily sketches. They don't seem like much, but the process of doing them has been invaluable. I've found that it is much easier for me to draw and paint. I used to feel a bit anxious about a blank sheet, but now I don't. And I know if I "mess" up, it doesn't matter. It's the process that counts in this exercise. So it's quite freeing.
If you'd like to do something similar, hop in and join in on the fun! The details are here.
